Can I pay with Litecoin?
Litecoin has been available for payment on the Internet since 2011. Over the years, the acceptance points for Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies have grown, but this means of payment is not a generally accepted standard. What would it be like if you could regularly pay each of your bills with Litecoin: rent, phone, electricity, food at the restaurant or groceries at the supermarket? At Coinsbee we have thought about it and created a solution so that you can pay at least part of your daily purchases with Litecoin. The solution? Gift cards. Almost all major online shops accept gift cards or vouchers as a payment method. You can top them up with money in the usual way and deposit this credit using a code on the online shop's website. The next time you shop there, the credit will automatically be deducted from your bill. This is where Coinsbee comes in. Only at Coinsbee, you will find a large selection of credit cards and vouchers from the e-commerce, telecommunications, gaming and payment services sectors. All credit codes are paid with us exclusively with cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin. But we also accept rare digital currencies. So you can top up your credit on our platform with cryptocurrencies and you will immediately receive a credit code by email, which you can immediately redeem for payment on the platform of the respective provider.
Can I pay for film, series and music subscriptions with Litecoin?
What would life be without music? Your favourite songs are the soundtrack to everything you experience during the day. With the right streaming service, such as Spotify, Deezer or Apple Music, you have the whole music business in your pocket and always have good music. It doesn't matter if you have WLAN available or if you are sitting somewhere in the mountains without mobile phone coverage. Of course, Deezer or Spotify are the best, if you have an ad-free subscription. From now on your monthly payments will only be paid for with Coinsbee gift cards purchased with Litecoin. Of course, you can do the same with your Netflix account. After all, your favourite films and series are part of your life. With Netflix gift cards, purchased with Litecoin via Coinsbee, you can pay for your monthly premium subscription quickly and easily with blockchain money. Do you have a prepaid tariff on your mobile phone? Then use Coinsbee from now on to top up your mobile phone balance. All network operators and many mobile phone discounters accept credit cards sold on Coinsbee. You can even choose how much credit you want. If you travel a lot in Europe, you may have a prepaid SIM card from a local mobile operator. Here on Coinsbee you can buy credit for some foreign phone providers. For example, in Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium or the Netherlands.
Can I buy gaming gift cards with Litecoin?
Whether you play on your console just once in a while to relax, or you're a real gamer and have a gaming PC next to your PS4, a game can be truly fun only if you invest a bit of money in some equipment. Collect new skins, buy better weapons or take home lots. Gift Cards have been accepted in the gaming industry for a long time. Nowadays you can get a PlayStation, Nintendo or Xbox gift card at the checkout of any supermarket, but you can't pay with Litecoin. It is much easier (and faster) to exchange your prepaid gaming cards for Litecoin on Coinsbee. Just find the right gaming platform, select the desired credit and pay with Litecoin. The credit code will be sent immediately to your registered email account. You can use it immediately (and it is valid for up to 24 months on most platforms). By the way, you can also follow the exchange rate on Coinsbee very transparently. It is displayed in real time in euro on the purchase page, below the purchase amount, including the exchange rate in US dollars. This way you always know if the exchange rate suits you. With a little bit of finesse you could even save a cent or two when paying with Litecoin due to currency fluctuations.
Does Litecoin benefit from the revolutionary Lightning network?
Regular transactions with Litecoin, Bitcoin and co. can often be quite nervy. Since transactions have to be noted on the blockchain, but on the other hand resources are limited, there are always hours-long delays for a transaction. By way of comparison: while VISA can handle an impressive 65,000 transactions per second, Bitcoin only handles 7 transactions per second. You can speed up a transaction on the Bitcoin network by paying the highest possible transaction fee. This is where the idea of the Lightning Network comes in: Because with Lightning, a layer for the Bitcoin network, you maximally accelerate your transactions and significantly reduce your fees. The Lightning network behind Litecoin has revolutionised the transfer of cryptocurrencies. Unlike the Bitcoin network, Lightning outsources the confirmation of a transaction from the blockchain. The principle is very simple: Through an intermediary, who also uses a Lighting wallet and whom you know, you can forward transactions. This is because this acquaintance also has another acquaintance who can act as an intermediary. In this way, the Lightning Network is a combination of many trusts that guarantee the correctness of the transaction. The execution of a transaction no longer depends on the mandatory quote on the blockchain, but is processed through a trust system that bypasses the blockchain. Only after a successful transaction is the result entered into the blockchain. This system is therefore much more cost-effective and, due to its efficiency, also much faster than the conventional Bitcoin network. You can see for yourself: you can only earn using Lightning. Of course, you can also pay your vouchers and gift cards at Coinsbee using Lightning technology. For both Android and iOS there are different wallets available on the Lightning network. Wallet of Satoshi, Breez or Bitcoin Lightning Wallet are just a few examples of functional and powerful Lightning wallets. You have never settled your accounts easier and above all faster with the help of the blockchain.
What exactly are Litecoin's main advantages?
Litecoin was released on GitHub on 7 October 2011. The open source client and the cryptocurrency behind it, Litecoin, is the brainchild of US developer Charlie Lee. The former Google employee is now president of the Litecoin Foundation. Litecoin is technically almost identical to Bitcoin. However, there are a few differences. The most important one is speed. While in the Bitcoin network transactions are only confirmed every ten minutes, in Litecoin this happens every 2.5 minutes. Ultimately, this speed leads to more Litecoin, as the currency is more popular because of its speed. While Bitcoin works with SHA 256, Litecoin is encrypted with "scrypt". The proof-of-work concept distributes mining evenly among as many people as possible and avoids centralisation. Scrypt is an encryption method that makes brute force attacks more difficult, which makes Litecoin in general even more secure than other comparable currencies. The Litecoin exchange rate has been subject to sharp fluctuations in the past. It started at USD 21.50 and quickly fell below USD 5. In 2017, the fourth-largest cryptocurrency then experienced a rapid rise to USD 300 for 1 Litecoin. In the meantime, Litecoin has settled at a stable value of around 40 euros per coin.
